Applications are invited for an assistant professor level tenure track position in physics at Lamar University beginning in the Fall of 2001. Candidates must have earned from a reputable institution either a Ph.D. in physics or a doctorate in physics education. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching which includes high quality communication skills. Service courses for engineering majors and non-science majors are of particular importance. An ability to involve undergraduates in research is expected. Modest start up finds are available.
